Additional information
Research area
Vanessa Burg is lecturer and senior researcher at the Chair of Ecological Systems Design, Institute of Environmental Engineering, ETH Zurich. She brings years of experience from the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL, international organizations (United Nations), and the private sector.
Her research interests primarily lie in sustainable bio-resources management in the energy transition and circular economy context. She uses transdisciplinary research approaches integrating different methods, such as geographic information systems, agent-based modeling, and surveys for quantitative and qualitative analysis. More broadly, she aims to produce scientific and socially relevant knowledge, to support the urgently needed transformation towards a low fossil carbon economy.
