Research area
His current research field combines top-down Earth observations, ecosystem services valuation, and life-cycle methodologies to conduct environmental impact assessments along supply chains at regional and global scales.
Shuntian Wang (王顺天) joined ETH Zurich as a Ph.D. student in D-BAUG ESD and D-GESS ISTP in August 2021. Before this, he received his Master of Research degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in July 2021 in the field of Environmental Science and Engineering (satellite-based remote sensing of the atmospheric environment), where he was the key developer of the cloud retrieval algorithm for China's first hyperspectral atmospheric environment satellite, the Gaofen-5 EMI payload. His research experience also included the development of a multispectral biomass burning monitoring algorithm for geostationary satellites.
